Hi, does the database contain the information of Pausal forms? Is it visible under one of the text features?

tmccormack165 commented 4 months ago

Hello @jloewenstein, no the ETCBC4 Hebrew dataset does not contain any information on pausal forms.

That information can be calculated. But the more complex thing is how to create a new features set that can be added to the Emdros database. I have a couple of features I would like to add (e.g. Dagesh Lene/Dagesh Forte, Vocal Shewa/Silent Shewa) but we cannot add those features before we do not have a good pipeline developed for feature adding.

Hi @oliverglanz Can you please create an issue for a Feature Adding Pipeline... Also with one or more concrete examples. I think it is very important that we start to enrich the database more...

ernstboogert commented 4 months ago

I put this issue on hold till we have a proper pipeline to enrich the database...

Awesome! looking forward to this feature. in the future. this is a place for crowd sourcing as well if there isn't a database calculation solution.

Do you know Tanakh Simanim? I've never seen a digital expression of this amazing project there are so many visual ques they created. the closest I've seen is in Al Hatora where they mark at least the dagesh forte (in בגדכפת) the kamats katon and the vocalized shwa. Here is a summary page of the printed simanim Bible: image

I will add a feature request with samples for the feature development pipeline.
