@jloewenstein This is a nice idea (AND we don't get tired of your ideas...!). We have been thinking about improving the interlinear in the past. Adding color, or at least a way to make features stand out more is something that can really enhance the use of the interlinear. However, we need to think carefully through the process. Since when somebody selects multiple features and they use the same colors, things won't match. And if we use a different set of colors for each feature, it will become a mess because of all the different colors. Any suggestions from the community are most welcome!
Very cool if it could work for more then one feature. I was thinking this would be possible and available only as long as one feature is selected. Maybe formatting can help? bold or italic etc. or even symbols to come before or after common features?
Another idea if you're not tired of them. In the text view highlight / mark common things when just one feature is selected. For example: If part of speech is selected (maybe a sub choice of which part of speech is needed for this), the text will show in a more visually distinguishable way words of the same denominator. like this maybe?
Or if a subcategory is added to choose particular things, if verbs are chosen with in Part of speech it might look something like this:
