Functional Question: Retrieve all relevant microarray data files. Or sequencing or other. Or microarrays from GEO. And all metadata of the assays. Ask for understanding documentation and results of previous analyses.
It can be hard because: I do not have a list of all assays reported by ‘project’. I do have this for microarrays, but I do not know where to find this for sequencing or imaging. So I have to ask around. So having lists of projects with dependent data files is a useful thing to have. Please make FAIR recommendations.
Extra Requirements:
the new case requires that, in addition to measured variables, all transcriptomics assays are labelled systematically, all the time, and named in a consistent manner. The platform types and data types should be labelled, no exceptions allowed. Ideally public standard terms and ontologies should be used. Users should be able to submit new information to public standard libraries and ontologies.
