Hi,
sorry for the inconvenience. Using biber instead of bibtex is not really required, and only comes into play in the main file, where biblatex is loaded, namely in line 95 of main.tex
\usepackage[
...
backend=biber%
]{biblatex}%
I was actually not aware, that installations without biber are common, but it seems bibtex as backend is more standard. I changed it in the example main, so that now bibtex is used per default. This doesn't really make a difference in this example.
Best Tim
I will close this for now, because I think it works. Feel free to reopen it again.
I am using bibtex as the default configuration for Latex and was surprised that I can not automatically receive my added references in the PDF.
Some research in the template was required until I figured out that texlive-biber has to be installed additionally (no hint by latex for this requirement).
Can you add a hint in the Readme file, that it has to be installed, please?
I like this Beamer Template. :)
