Hi @FBruzzesi, this looks a lot like the sktime.split design although there are some key differences - want to collaborate?

I must admit I have no experience working with sktime even though it is a well established library in the timeseries ecosystem.

Could you expand on this? I am not sure what you have in mind or are looking for. Maybe a chat is more convenient than a github issue?
