Choices that affect Price:
Filament
Volume
Complexity of supports and infill
Post processing
PLA (polylactic acid) compostable
Every 100 grams is 2.50$
Organic is our default, with many horizontal and objects extruding beyond 40 degrees more supports are needed. Infill shape can be changed and density.
Are we taking off the supports and filing them down or do you want to?
If we do add 5$ for every 500g, minimum 5$
ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)
Every 100 grams is 3.00$
See above

Nylon (polyamide)
Every 100 grams is $3.50

Carbon Fiber reinforced
Add .50$ per 100.

Though we have labor costs that need to be added. We will slice and optimize the weight for you and send you an estimate for your approval.
Milling
Material cost with depend, If you provide material, the cost will be centered around time to prepare projects in CAD and CAM. Minimum is 15 minutes going up to 1 hr, depending on difficulty and variability of design. We will bill this at 20$ per hour, Though this is only assessed once. So if we need to iterate as we get your final approval before cutting we will.
Machine usage, we will give a base price of 5 dollars on up depending on bits used, time and total cuts. We will give you an opportunity to approve an estimate.
Know we are a learning shop, we may destroy the material that is given due to mistakes or faulty machinery. We are sorry, and will do our best to replace or get close to the original materials. Though may have to scrap the project. We will gladly refer you to a professional as needed.
Needless to say, we are enthusiastically accepting your offer and thank you for the opportunity to work with you. We are gaining valuable experience with all stages of the manufacturing process, and look forward to working with you again in the future.
All transactions will be completed with Karen Guinasso at the ASB counter during Eastlake regular business hours.
For items benefiting the FRC or FTC team please contact board@packofparts.org and mentors@packofparts.org to set up payment arrangements through their website packofparts.org or other.
