Add a "Composer" view, and option to order albums by composer #652

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Which version of Cantata?
1.5.1

Which build? KDE, Qt4, Qt5, Windows, Ubuntu, Mac?
All

First, thank you for cantata which is really great.

Would it be possible to add a "Composer" view, similar to the "Artist" view?
Also, would it be possible to add an option to order albums by composer?

This is important for people who have a music collection focussed on classical
music.

Thanks in advance,

Marc

Don't like the idea of yet another view - so will *not* be doing this.

However for 1.6.0, I'm thinking about having an option "Use composer to group
albums with genres: [list of genre's, e.g. Classical]" Therefore, your
classical albums would be grouped by Composer, but your (e.g.) Pop ones not.
Would this suffice?

(This idea is shamelessly copied from RompR)

My suggestion above is now in trunk (for 1.6.0)

Please be aware - upon restarts, the artist tag is used again. This is a bug,
which I will fix later.

Glad the feature is sufficient anyway :-) As an enhancement, perhaps I should
use a different icon for composer groups? I'll think about this later...

trunk should now be fixed. As this change is enough for you, I am closing this
issue.
