Hi, I noticed that as of 2:34 UTC -45 (not accounting for daylight savings time) there is no longer a partial list of current instances on fchannel.org -- I was thinking, if you would rather not run links to active instances, a bunch of screenshots would be a nice way to show newcomers what the board looks like. Make a demo board, populate it with a few interesting and relevant posts, then take screen shots and include the screen shots in your readme file!! People visiting your git repo would see the screenshots on your readme file. Assuming that you do not wish to host links, the screenshots are a great way to showcase your great app and allow others to see what it is like at a glance. BY the way, I have seen other demo link lists that have good intentions- but the good intentions are exploited. For example, you post a link to a board, others post a link to something illegal on the board, which links to more illegal content. You are now part of the chain of links, some jurisdictions would assert that you are actively linking to illegal sites. SO, you either have to monitor everything closely, (the hard way) or have a single demo site and monitor its content (a less hard way) OR, just populate a board with interesting demo material, make and share screen shots on your git readme file. (the easiest way) For your own protection and to lighten your work load, I would advise that you do the screenshot method. I am willing to help you with any of the methods tho, for example if you want me to make a demo board and maintain it, I could do that for you long term. If you want, I could even make a board then populate it with decent posts, then screen shot it so others can see what it looks like. If you want help on any of the above let me know, I can not contribute to the codbase yet because of the slight problem of not learning golang (lol) but for now I can help you with lesser tasks while you work on the code!!
Edit-- Oah also someone from the Fchannel Public Relations team could make a demo board, populate the board with interesting content, then make a youtube video showing how the board works!!! There would have to be really cool music in the background, you know, like the kind of music that makes the viewer feel powerful and empowered and the kind of music that makes the viewer think that fchannel is really, really cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also of note, you should make any small change to the repo , at least once a week, That way, when someone searches imageboard by "recently updated" option, your repo shows up first and we crush our competition - we will send lesser boards into oblivion and obscurity because no one sees the other boards in the search results! Stick with me, kid, I will show you how to make fchannel the leading board in the western hemisphere. After we achieve total domination in the western hemisphere, we will then be poised to take over the eastern hemisphere and at that point, Fchannel will be the worlds #1 board!!!! It will be a glorious day!
