Currently we have listed SD-JWT VC and mdoc as required credentials formats, to align with ARF and allow for natural person credentials to be used.
We may want to think about whether:
mdoc is really a requirement, I'm not sure if organization credentials will be issued as mdoc, and it's mostly for proximity presentation
What other formats we want to make required / optional. E.g. it might be good to define W3C VC Data Model. Maybe as optional extension, whether we do define the signature suite, proof format (jwt, data integrity, etc..), vc data model version, etc.. This would at least mean there's a common profile for W3C VCs.
What would be a good base profile for W3C VCs?
VC DM 2.0
VC DI ECDSA https://www.w3.org/TR/vc-di-ecdsa (there's three types here, for JSON-LD, JCS, SD-JSON-LD, so we might want to choose a specific one)
