are your forwarders installed on wiiu nand or wiiu formatted hdd?
On NAND.
On NAND.
seems to me maybe your wiiu memory isnt the best, it might be degrading and sometimes it fails to read the entire of the file that is why it corrupts, there are numerous reports off wiiu memory failling due to bad parts that nintendo used so im not sure what to do or if you have some program running in the back making use of some resources and memory that nintendont might need to start in time. is your wiiu connected to the internet?
Interesting. So it could work better via USB? I'm now on Tiramisu and I'm planning to try on Aroma, no idea if it could improve things.
My Wii U is connected to the internet, yes.
Fortunately, there is a useful kit that can recover Wii U NAND, if it helps.
As somone told me on GBATemp, what one should use for Gamecube games in 2024 is MMMod, a branch of Nintendont which builds up on the CrisMMMod version: https://send0r.de/MMMod.html
I've been using it for a few days and there haven't been a single black screen or even weird characters. So it seems my Wii U and its NAND are fine.
Nintendont freezes the console completely (to the point I have to pull the plug) on startup from the Wii U menu (forwarder, either Nintendont itself or the game injects), usually the first time I boot it up. Then after rebooting it usually always boots up and works fine. Sometimes it will boot and I'll have weird artefacts instead of legible text in the Nintendont menu.
Could you please help me identify what may be causing this? I'm using the latest version of Nintendont.
