Backward compatibility of v1.2 versus v1.1 #8

V1.2 has introduced a number of new attributes for elements that are required. V1.1 code should also be able to run under v1.2 to be backward compatible. This issue is to verify this. New mandatory attributes:

Filter/@id (also a new element)
