Freelancer: HD Edition is a mod that aims to improve every aspect of the game Freelancer (2003) while keeping the look and feel as close to vanilla as possible.
In the first Manhattan cutscene (after FP7) and the final Nomad Hypergate cutscene, there are a couple of ale effects used that cover the entire screen (rtc_fadeblack_variable.ale and rtc_Tv_Distortion.ale). They don't work entirely as they should though since they only cover the entire 4:3 aspect ratio.
There are a few ale effects like the white fade one from the Manhattan cutscene during mission 2, that do cover the entire screen. So this ale effect might serve as a hint regarding how the other two ale effects can be fixed.
