Missing Omicron Beta jump hole missing within the various path files causes program to cease running. #223

Whenever I try to use the Omicron Beta jump hole (at Omicron Alpha) the Freelancer program ceases to run and exit.

I've had this problem before with another system. I found it was caused by missing path information within one of the various system path files. I fixed it by copying the original path files into the DATA\UNIVERSE directory. I've tried fixing the present problem by doing the same with original files from the CD and then with those from the Github site. But the result is always the same.

The missing path information needs to be entered into the relevant path file(s).

I am unable to reproduce the issue. From the HDE GitHub repository I have compared shortest_illegal_path.ini, shortest_legal_path.ini, and systems_shortest_path.ini to the vanilla FL counterparts; the files are identical. Additionally, I compared the Omicron Alpha and Omicron Beta files the same way, and the paths are all there. Which path information do you believe is missing?

I believe its the path way information for Omicron Alpha to Omicron Beta. Which leads to Omicron minor and Omicron Major. This picture gives you the paths.

The nav map you shared is not from vanilla Freelancer (several non-existing paths). This is what it should actually look like: image

Well that explains a great deal. But, since it's from an mod version I tried in the past any idea how to remove or correct it? I'll try using path files and systems file from original and see what happens. Failing that a re-install. Thank you for your help.

I solved the problem. It was caused by an error in one of the EW0 files within the universe/systems directory. Working great now. Thanks for your help.
