This is more a PSA than an issue. I maintain my own Gentoo overlay lehi-overlay that contains some utilities that haven't been added to Layman or the main Portage tree and I included FLIF a little while ago. Since there was that v0.2.2 release recently, I figured I'd tell everyone working on this project that FLIF can be installed and managed by Portage if that overlay is added.
