Jim, Karen, Naomi,
Do channel elements have the same number (KOUT) that the grid element they are located in (NOSTA)? Thanks!
Rado: Yes...all grid element number is the same for channels, streets, outflow and inflow nodes. Internally in the FLO-2D code, channels, streets and other components have unique numbers starting with 1, but the user only sees the grid element number in the data files.

Hi Radoslaw,
The K line for a channel ouflow node is assigned to the left bank channel node. You can see an example in lesson 15 outflow.out.

Jim, Karen, Naomi,
What is a time unit for stage-time relationships in OUTFLOW.DAT? In INFLOW.DAT it was defined by IHOURDAILY. Thanks!
Jim, Karen, Naomi,
We have two floodplain/channel indicators in OUTFLOW.DAT:
We understand that if OUTCHAR is N and NOSTACFP = 0 (stage-time relationship is for channel element) then the grid element stage is influenced by the stage from the channel element. Is that correct?
It would be great if you could point us to any example model having grid element with OUTCHAR = N and NOSTACFP = 0. This case is described in the Data Input Manual PRO, but to test the import/export functionality we would need that in a real example model. Thanks!
In OUTFLOW.DAT, STA(I,J,1) is in hourly data only.

Radoslaw: If OUTCHAR = N and NOSTACFP = 0, the stage time is assigned to the floodplain outflow element.
If OUTCHAR = K and NOSTACFP = 1, the stage time relationship is assigned to the channel outflow element.

Karen or Noemi: Do you have an example for Radolaw?

Here is an example of a simple ouflow.dat Stage Time condition. OUTCHAE = N. This is only one single configuration. Once you understand it, let’s talk about the others.

Radek, See my previous post. It has an example of the outchar = N
OUTFLOW.DAT information goes into the following GeoPackage tables:
*we will use grid element and cell interchangeably.
gpkg table: outflow (contains general info about each outflow)
gpkg table: qh_params (stage-discharge reletionship parameters)
gpkg table: outflow_cells (cells being affected by an outflow)
gpkg table: outflow_chan_elems (channel elements being affected by an outflow)
gpkg table: time_series (named time series)
gpkg table: time_series_data (time series data)
gpkg table: outflow_hydrographs (cells that should produce outflow hydrographs)
