Picker not working #56

I'm not sure this is working. I've blocked all except LHR and still wind up on WAW.

Hello, can you provide a screenshot of steam-overlay showing server information after finding a match.

Damn totally forgot to take one. I'll do it next time I'm on. Definitely, twice in a row it happened, I enabled both LHR and AMS, just in case it was because I only had one enabled but it put me in Poland again. What's really weird too is I'm based in Ireland. I don't have a VPN enabled or anything like that.

Will update later with screenshot, if I can reproduce it again.

Make sure windows defender is managing windows firewall and no other 3rd-party antivirus.

Okay so I haven't been able to reproduce this. Solo this works no problem, every time I queue I get London.

I think it might have been happening because I was queuing with a friend. They also had the server picker running and only LHR then after LHR and AMS.

I can confirm I have the outbound rules set and no other app for firewall is running: image

I'll have to wait to retest with my friend again, will update again when he's back might be some time though.

I see, might be a factor then. I know a big streamer queueing with someone who uses the app to find a match and been able to consistently avoid the server they don't want in europe.

Yeah so looks routing through the relay to the server that's blocked. Okay server picker is doing it's job but will give higher pings then I guess if we get a server through the relay.

London to stockholm, it would add some latency due to rerouting.

I'll be closing this for now, I appreciate the entry and for trying out the app! atleast somehow it does its job. I was planning to add a different way of blocking servers through IPSec Group Policy but I am not able to test it out due to having a low end laptop that cannot handle the game.
