quick entry on dashboard #8

the user dashboard should contain a form which allows easily creating new tiddlers (selecting a target from the available wikis)

perhaps there could be different presets - e.g. using the current date for journal entries - though we wanna be careful not to hard-code any particular personal workflow

Is this what the Create Page section is, sounds similar if not?

Yup, but that's very basic still - so this is mostly about presets now. (Thus not on the beta milestone.)

Also, I'm not sure whether that Create Page form sould include a field for tags - seems like that might interfere with the desired simplicity. Perhaps we could make this "widget" drop into edit mode instead of creating the page right away?

it all depends on how much whitespace (there is a lot at the moment) you want to use. For now I would say stick with just the text box. I can imagine most people using it to get up and running and test things. They can be exposed to other features once they click on edit.
