ChRIS Store has authors and owners per plugin...

authors are who is listed in the JSON
owner is person who uploads it.

We should make the meaning of the distinction more clear.

It would make sense for owner to be the equivalent role of a package maintainer, while author is for giving crediting purposes.

Package maintainers akin to the maintainers of software available to Linux distros via apt/dnf. A package maintainer or owner is typically responsible for:

packaging the software (wrapping it in cookiecutter-chrisapp
receiving bug reports (and deciding whether to forward them to the author)
distributing the software via https://chrisstore.co

The author should be the person who is cited in your scientific work's bibliography.
