Fix mac address retrieval since /sbin/ip update #21

Since /sbin/ip -0 -o doesn't work, we have to change the method so registration and such still works.

@Quazz I am very sorry to drop your pull request but I like to keep things to the point using as little changes as possible to keep things clear. From my tests it looks like some of your changes are not necessary and might even cause other issues. So I decided to drop this and push a fresh commit (e1fbb29) to fix this.
