Are you planning to use a metal casing and rotor? One of the features lacking in any open centrifuge at the moment is the ability to reach high speeds and contain the rotor in the event of it shearing off, because they either don't have a casing or it's made of quite thin acrylic. I saw safety emphasised in your design specs but I couldn't see documentation of casing materials yet, apologies if I missed it!
We are aiming for 15000 rpm for samples of 1.5ml. If you have ideas, want to point to videos, share experiences and also criticism you are welcome to comment here. Looking forward :)
