Analyse pilot survey

Together with the Rede de Pesquisadores, a pilot run of the questionnaire was made in Brazil. There is code to start processing the data (cleaning up, getting everything to lowers, no accents, etc), and tabling everything with Python Pandas.

It would be nice to further develop the code:

• convert name and locations to geographic coordinates to be placed in openmaps
• rank the equipment mentioned in the questions according to field, and number of mentions (it would be nice to have a general system to easily pick categories and rank based on those)

Could you say a little bit more about how you envision to rank equipment by field ? Based on the researcher's information, or by its usage in one or more fields, or ?

Hi,

Ranking is probably the wrong word for it, since all demand is important for each local community. But I think that to get momentum and find collaborators, starting with the equipment that is needed across different subjects and geographical locations would be a good way to go.
