X11 was good until the last decade, but it's 2023, and interfaces have been innovated exponentially, whether it is Mac or any other. Wayland is the compositor that is going to make able Linux Distros to compete with other pro players in the field. Wayland aims to provide a more modern, efficient, and secure foundation for graphical applications. Unlike the X Window System, Wayland operates on a simpler and more streamlined architecture.
