What this PR does

This PR removes all the unnecessary cruft, and does some minor tweaks.

Specifics

I've removed:

compiled python files. (.pyc)
__pycache__ files

I've added:

.gitignore so these files do not get added to git again.

I've updated:

the JSON file, since the spacing was out of wack, and was not consistent throughout the file.
