Android supports a thing called WiFi Direct, which is basically just ad-hoc mode but better. This would allow us to sync without the hassle of Bluetooth pairing requests, and without a hotspot (since hotspots are against the rules).
The question is whether or not WiFi Direct itself is allowed by the rules... if it is, I'd recommend closing #6 since it sucks anyways.
