Data format items can mismatch with the data formats themselves.

This is because data format items are generated by eventlog but the items themselves are generated by Readouts. It is exacerbated by the fact that ~/stagearea/.settings.tcl stores the path to the event logger being used and may be stale -- especially in test accounts that use multiple NSCLDAQ major versions.

Finally consider the nasty case of event built data between mixed version Readout programs.

It's also theoretically possible that data formats will differ from readout to readout in an event built system. I think that best might be to:

• Have a format item type (new ring item type) with a source id.
• Have the Readouts emit this.
• No longer have eventlog emit this. Probably have to target this for lucky major version 13 since it changes data format.
