FRR currently supports only a single static RP, but it does support receiving RPs using BSR. We are working on expanding BSR support and also support for Cisco's AutoRP. We expect to have that in in the near feature.
Thanks for the clarification. That will be a perfect feature in the implementation of FRR. However, adding multiple static RP's will be an addon feature.

Hi,
Could you please guide me with the automatic switch between static addresses in the PIM module of FRR? I have seen similar functionality in the commercial vendor such as Fortinet multicast setting/configuration. It supports multiple static RP addresses and switches when the mapping agent message is received from the Cisco multicast network [It is my understanding and I am not sure about it because there is no other relevant message for static RP switching for edge multicast device]. However, PIM/FRR only allows a single RP address as the RP address for one group and configuration for an alternate rp address is not possible. Any suggestion or guidance, please.
