You definitely shouldn't need to unlock the instance to change your memory allocation... It should just save when you move the slider? Did a message not pop up to say the setting has been updated?
It didnt. I tried on a few different modpacks and same result on all of them but unlocking and then locking the instance after sliding saved it.

Very interesting, thanks for the report, I'll look into this for you. Could you confirm what OS you are on? And that you are using the 1.6+ version of the app?
I'm on windows 11 and I'm unsure of where in the app to find version info but in the add/remove programs the FTB app is listed as 1.23.1122.2052

What is your suggestion?
A "save" or "apply" button at the bottom of the modpack settings menu would be helpful. I had to search and ask in the discord how to change the ram allocation for a modpack and be told that you have to unlock the instance, make the change, and then lock it again for it to apply.
