Instance folder resets everytime I restart the FTB App #1073

Describe the bug

Instance folder location keeps reseting to "" when closing and re-opening the "FTB App" Application.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open FTB App
  2. Go to settings
  3. Look under Misc
  4. Notice that the instance location is empty and that your installed modpacks are not installed.

Expected behaviour

I would expect the FTB App to remeber what location my instances are installed between sessions.

Additional information

The bug went away after running the debug tool, after it deleted a bunch of my folders that contained shortcuts that had nothing to do with FTB...

Please can you try and reproduce this, then after having the instance location be cleared again, go to settings, app, then press upload logs and paste the link it gives you here

the deletion might have something to do with the fact that the folders were full of shortcuts, I have a harddrive and an SSD. I ran the debug tool on my SSD and it deleted the folders containing shortcuts that launch programs installed on my harddrive. The intial problem went away completely after I ran the debug tool and I have no idea of how I would go about reproducing the issue, it seemed like one day the bug just randomly appeared.
