Ive not be able to reproduce this issue, if you create a new test world, does this still happen?
I created a new single-player world, cheated the bare bones items needed to get a wireless AE2 network, and found that the behavior is the same. So, it's not a server issue.
Below are a couple of screenshots just to prove I'm not crazy. The first is showing that the Magnet Card is installed and active; the second shows the guidebook that I threw on the ground, well within range of the Magnet Card (default is 16 blocks), just sitting there regardless of how close I get to it. And I did verify that the Magnet Card Range (magnet_card_range
) setting is indeed at the default "16.0".
I tried a few other things:
As mentioned before, if I set the Magnet Card to "Pickup to ME," the item does go into ME, I just have to walk right up on it, which is the standard, un-mod'd item pickup behavior.

Describe the bug
An installed Magnet Card upgrade in a Wireless Universal Terminal has no effect, regardless of whether it it enabled as "Pick Up to Inventory" or "Pick Up to ME". Note that in "Pick Up to ME" mode, items are actually placed in the AE2 system, just the
magnet_card_range
is ignored.I have tried tinkering with the blacklist/whitelist settings on the "Magnet Filter" tab displayed in the Wireless Universal Terminal, but the behavior is the same.
I also have a Sophisticated Backpack with a magnet upgrade, which is disabled. But I even tried removing that upgrade from the backpack entirely just in case there was some sort of conflict there, but this had no effect.
I have no other magnet-type upgrades.
Steps to reproduce
magnet_card_range
are not picked up until the player moves upon them (normal behavior)Expected behaviour
Items on the ground within
magnet_card_range
of the player should be collected into inventory or ME (respective of the Magnet Card setting).Screenshots

Additional information
I noticed this bug in v1.6.0 of the modpack, and it persists in v1.7.0 (ae2wtlib v17.12.0-beta is used in both modpack versions).
There is not a newer version of ae2wtlib for MC v1.20.4. Just to test, I tried v18.1.x for the MC v1.20.6 version, but that just resulted in all features of the mod disappearing (apparently the mod failed to load).
I do not see this issue reported upstream. Perhaps it is a unique problem within the NeoTech modpack?
