[Bug]: Game hangs on shutdown with [Render thread/INFO] [FTB Chunks/]: Shutting down map thread #1237

What issue are you having?

The game hangs on shutdown with the last line of the log being

[Render thread/INFO] [FTB Chunks/]: Shutting down map thread

The Java process has to be killed to close the game.

Crashlogs

There are no crash logs generated for the event

Steps to reproduce

Launce the game, play for a while, shutdown.

Anything else to note?

I spoke to one of the FTBTeam on Discord and they suggested disabling FTBBackups 2 as a test. I did this and played multiple sessions over two days. The problem did not reoccur. I then re-enabled FTBBackups 2 and the issue returned on closing down after the first session. It could just be coincidence.

There are no crash logs generated from the event.

Looks like a probable interaction between FTB Chunks and FTB Backups (which despite the name, isn't an FTB mod these days). Investigation is in progress but deadlocks like this are hard to reproduce.

Having the exact same issue on my server, running the same forge version and ftbchunks version. Latest log included by request from discord mod! latest.log
