I'm a translator, and I usually translate some modpacks that it has lots of quests. If the feature is in low version , it's helpful for translating

Btw,my friend is interested in backporting this feature.If you intend to do that,we can create a pr for you

Backporting the translation changes is not a priority of ours, unfortunately.

However, we would be prepared to accept a PR for 1.20.1 with the translation changes made in 1.21 from your friend, under the condition the changes are heavily tested with some existing 1.20 modpacks before the PR is submitted.

The translation changes do some significant internal reorganisation of how translatable messages are stored (and, importantly, sync'd) in quest objects. This is one of the reasons the change were made in a beta release for a new major Minecraft version; we need testers to discover any flaws/bugs in the implementation before many major modpacks are released.
