3 months ago I'm sure there should be a way to make this work but I don't think the development was able to get to the point where it could be outside of OP/ADMIN hands

It is currently not technically possible to allow FTB Rank players to award only specific kits to specific players by modifying the ranks.snbt file with the command.kit.give.players.name argument.

I would like to be able to allow players to give only themselves only specific kits based on earned ranks. The FTB Ranks README.txt file does not read in the list of kits or players as possible commands, so I recommend adding ftbessentials.kit.give as a possible argument to the ranks.snbt file with values that equate to created kits, as long as the values match an existing kit name. This would also require adding the kit give command to non-oped players as long as it uses valid values as specified by this new argument. Other methods of allowing a kit to be awarded to a player based on rank are also acceptable, but this seems like the easiest solution I have considered. Thank you for your consideration!
