just had a look at our domains and I can't see fundoss.org in there. It may well be that @owocki registered it?
I DM'd @owocki and pointed him to this issue. As long as we can access the domain, we should be able cobble together an informational site using something like Ghost or WordPress. Would be helpful again to know what that plans were for https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss-ghost

i dont have the domain. i think @Kweiss does
@owocki Thanks!
I checked whois yesterday and it really didn't provide many clues.
Do you know how we can connect with Kyle to see if he'd be interested in transferring?
Also...based on recent off-GitHub discussions (with everybody talking in this issue), it's more and more likely we won't be ready to run FundOSS Round Deux until next year.
Mentioning here because setting up a informational/placeholder is absolutely something our growing team at Community Contributor Group can handle without any tech leadership/support from the FundOSS team (beyond advising/providing access to tools/resources used in the pilot).
Huge thanks to @zherring for letting me know http://fundoss.com/ was available! Currently redirecting to https://opencollective.com/fundoss until I/we figure out what we can build/launch in the short term (I have an idea).
Still hoping to gain control of https://fundoss.org/ and https://twitter.com/_fundoss so we can make an after the fact attempt at applying/enrolling in the the current https://www.gitcoin.co/ round
Circling back here now that the last Gitcoin Grants round wrapped (altho their now running a QF Round with the American Cancer Society on Gitcoin Grants Stack!).
Wondering if @zherring or @owocki has been able to connect with @Kweiss about the fundoss.org domain.
I sent him this message via Twitter DM on Nov 17 -
Hey Kyle! Word on the street is you might be the owner of the http://fundoss.org domain https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss/issues/45#issuecomment-1804307021
Not sure if Kevin and/or Zach have reached out (thought that would be better than someone you don't know) but wanted to followup direct after Zach told me you were ED of Gitcoin.
Hopefully we can talk more about partnership, cross-promotion, and collaboration once we get FundOSS up and running again.
For context around the current attempt at revival (and whose involved) this evolving meta discussion should tell that tale. https://github.com/orgs/FUNDOSS/discussions/44
Would love to gain control of the .org if you're the owner.
Thanks in advance
As touched on in the message, I think FundOSS can evolve into something that can promote and contribute to Gitcoin Grants (even the Grants Stack).
Any help rounding up the tools/resources used in the pilot will enable us to do that.
Realizing is still may take a bit to evaluate options and re-launch a functional MVP https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss/discussions/44, we'd like to have https://fundoss.org/ pointing to something that...if anything can let fans know we're bringing it back!
As noted in https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss/issues/43 the site lingered in a semi-functional state for about a year after the pilot wrapped. Then for reasons unknown even that went away.
Does anyone know what happened and have a suggestion for what to replace it with in the short term?
I thought https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss-ghost could be an option (until realizing there's no code). Does anyone know what that plans were for that?
@BenJam As it looks like you were previously handling https://github.com/FUNDOSS/fundoss/issues/43#issuecomment-919027010 is there any light you could shine on the situation?
