Hi, thanks for opening this issue. Can you reliably reproduce this issue? For example, does this happen with all projects, or only a specific project? Have you tried resetting your Randomness settings?

Hello, now I am working with Java with Spring Boot and it happens when opening some projects but it does not prevent me from working. Greetings

Thank you for the reply! I have a few more questions: Does it happen every time you open your projects, or only sometimes? Additionally, you can reset your Randomness settings by deleting the file %APPDATA%\JetBrains\IntelliJIdea2022.3\options\randomness.xml. Let me know if this resolves your issue.

Hi Mariano, I just saw that this issue is still open.

Did the workaround mentioned above solve your issue, and/or is the issue still present?

majuarezmagarinios commented 1 year ago

Hello, I did not apply the solution but it did not happen again either. I take advantage of the contact to consult you, that is, when Intellij highlights a word in green, it is not when there is a misspelling with a green line below, but a highlight. There is no yellow light, nor any suggestion. Could you tell me what it means. I couldn't find any information in the program's documentation. Thank you

Happy to hear the issue hasn't happened again.

I haven't seen that before. Maybe it's from a plugin? The following might help: Open Settings > Editor > Color Scheme > General. You'll see an editor with all kinds of highlighting, and it also explains what that highlighting means. If you don't see the green highlight in there, try going to a different entry, like Open Settings > Editor > Color Scheme > Language Defaults, and try them all out until you find your highlighting. Let me know if this helps!

Hello Florine, thank you for your answer, I did not find the information I am looking for in the place that you indicated, but there is no problem. It is a highlight and not an underline, it happened to me a couple of times and I remember that it highlighted a sentence. If it happens to me again, I'll write to you because I haven't found any info on the web either and it seems important to me to be able to understand what IntelliJ tells me. It really is an amazing tool, I hope one day I will have the knowledge to exploit it to the fullest. Good week-end. Regards

Sorry to hear that. You could try asking on the IntelliJ forums. Enjoy your weekend!
