4 months ago This is implemented, and the selected assistant variant & chat model will be remembered as well. For now this is not persistent and will reset to the defaults after restart of the app.

I don't know if this is a bug. If it is meant to be like that, please treat the following as a suggestion:
Whenever I start assistant from the widget, it defaults to research. I'd prefer to either a) default to the last used assistant mode, or b) let me choose the default assistant mode in the app settings.
