Update: tested it in a creative world. . . testing so far was on the birch beehive and the bamboo beehive. . . Birch seems fine but bamboo is not. Going to test all F&F variants now. . . how strange.
Alright I tested every other F&F Beehive. . . Birch, Cherry, Jungle, Mangrove, Dark Oak, Spruce, Acacia, Warped, Crimson. . . let it run for a couple of in-game days. . . it's literally just bamboo. . . and that's weird. . . cause there shouldn't be anything unique to the bamboo variant other than a texture I'm presuming. . . so, is like. . . one of the texture stages missing or something, maybe misnamed???
I ran bamboo multiple times to be sure:
I even tested for multiple conditions as well relating to smoked and unsmoked:
Bamboo bees just seem to be shut-in bees who wanna hang on the couch all day playing beecraft and never leave the hive. Honestly, I blame bee culture. Beeing on bamboo too long just isn't good for your sense of adventure.
I found the issue I think:
Block entity minecraft:beehive @ class_2338{x=1, y=1, z=1} state Block{friendsandfoes:bamboo_beehive}[facing=west,honey_level=0] invalid for ticking:
It doesn't say that for any of the other hives. Seems to be a class-related issue?
Thank you very much for all the context and useful info! I need to first release some bug fixes for Variants&Ventures, but I will look into it this week for sure.
This should be fixed with the new release, please do let me know in case of any problem :).
Well I have notice that the bee keepers aren't restocking what they sell. I have only tested it on the bamboo behives. So I cannot confirm if it's related or not.

Expected Behavior
. . . bees to leave the beehive at some point.
Actual Behavior
They stay in the hive permanently. I cannot confirm but I think the hive honey updater isn't updating either. I forget if honey updates on entering or exiting. . . if it's on exiting, it makes sense why the honey counter is at 0.
