Painted skybox in Linux has a black "horizon" #3298

Details

On Linux builds, you can see a black "horizon" for painted skyboxes. Both Windows and Mac don't seem to be affected by this visual problem.

I don't think it matters but I use KDE neon (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS base) with the NVIDIA-375 prop drivers.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Load into gm_flatgrass or gm_construct on Linux.
  2. Noclip up into the sky.
  3. Look at the horizon of the skybox, it should have a black space below the 'equator'.

How about oh I don't know a picture?

Good to know being late up at night makes me lazy to not do that. Here's a screenshot now: skybox

Have you tried running the game with -noaddons -noworkshop and trying using the skybox editor to see if it can change the color?

I can confirm this, but it looks like it might be a driver issue. It worked fine with the dogshit 8fps driver ubuntu has by default, but once nvidia's proprietary ones are installed on the same machine, it breaks.

It also happens on the Mesa3D drivers for AMD cards (Radeon RX 590) so it's not just a proprietary NVIDIA driver issue.
