Linux. Copying text from Garry's Mod, pasting into other application. That application hangs up. #3319

Details

When I copy any text in Garry's Mod (from console or in-game GUI text), then pasting it into any other opened application (no matter, browser, text editor, or other), that application hangs up. And this becomes unhanged when I close Garry's Mod.

Steps to reproduce

Copy anything from Garry's Mod
Paste into another application

Specs

OS - Arch Linux x64
DE - GNOME 3.26

I've experienced this same issue before, but only with certain applications. Atom would always have this issue. I know it wasn't all applications because I used to use the search box of an open firefox window as a proxy everytime I wanted to paste something into atom from gmod.
