Noticeable audio output delay when using 384 kHz sample rate. #5442

Actually, subject, if use a smaller sample rate, for example, 192 kHz or less, then there is no problem. This is noticeable, for example, when using the Lua menu from here and trying to press the settings button for the first time, sound of pressing the button is played after about 0.50-0.90 sec. It is also noticeable on the sounds of using the toolgun, it is also played with a slight delay. Sound card: Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus. Audio driver version: 6.0.105.65 Version command output:

Does it happen for other source games too?

I think it is possible that the Source Engine does not expect Sound Hardware that is like strong enough to run the entire game's gfx instead. 😂

@Grocel Checked on Half-Life 2 Episode 2, there is the same problem.
