Awesomium and Garry's Mod volumes should be different: I would love to still hear GMod sound without listening to loading screen music and in-game stream radios
Having it tied to GMod's volume would be rather annoying. Building off of Kefta's example, the current setup also allows us to listen to sounds/music/videos without having to turn the GMod volume up. I can have GMod silenced and still listen to the content I want to at full volume.
Alternatively, you could request the ability
to tie the volumes together. But making it mandatory shouldn't happen.
I get your points. The thing is it should be a config option in Garry's Mod itself to set Awesomium panel volume relative to Garry's Mod volume, but the operating system should consider both GMod and Awesomium to be one entity because, well, they are.
I think the ideal situation would be for there to be two Awesomium volume cvars/config options: one for loading screen and one for in-game HTML panels. But I still think those should be tied to GMod's volume OS- wise.
Garry's Mod's
volume
cvar should affect Awesomium volume. Also, Awesomium is a different process from gmod in Windows volume mixer. Would it be possible to have them be the same, or at least equal. Alternatively there could be a Lua binding to get the difference between these two, so scripts could somewhat equalize the volumes themselves.
