Uidevicefamily #30

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install on iPad.
2. Launch on iPad.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Full compatibility with iPad resoution,

I added iPad to uidevicefamily and i got 99% iPad compatibility,
Only thing missing is the statusbar with up and down speed, which is only as
wide as the iPhone resolution. (make it dynamic and its perfect)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

I never expected it to work that well on iPad which I wasn't planning to
support. Can you take screenshots of different views and post them somewhere at
which I can take a look? If there's not so much work, I'll add support for
iPad.

I sent you an email, cause im on vacation with only my iPad, and safari cant
upload files :(((

i also added my info.plist which has this fix and backgrounding (official from
Apple backgrounding, without any extra package installed) enabled.

sig.boe thanks for the great idea.

If you guys still need the screenshots I can upload them.

BTW, what do you mean by "official from Apple backgrounding", since background
downloading is my last problem with this awesome app.

I sent him lots of screens

But you can change the boolean in the info plist called
UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend
Then you get native apple multitasking

Please ccp, fix this in next release too :)

It should be ' true ' and backgrownd will work if ccp will implement it in next
version, did i get you right?

Perhaps you haven't seen the new release in downloads. It should fix native
backgrounding. Note that native backgrounding doesn't guarantee itransmission
to keep running in background

so whats about native backgrounding? its not guaranteed. and it doesnt work in
the background, the downloads stop. do i have to install backgrounder?
i think in 0.5 beta i got it working with the mod, but couldnt get it to work
when phone is locked, even trying different "keep wifi alive" apps..
awesome app, I hope you will have the guts to keep it alive with every ios
update :D thank you!

sorry for my previous comment. i just read this:
http://code.google.com/p/itransmission/wiki/Backgrounding

i thought that backgrounder is not needed since IOS4 multitasking, but the
native ios MT is not a true multitasking thats why the Backgrounder is needed..
