BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

Installed Sims Version Sims 1 Complete Collection (disc)

Are you using a nocd exe / crack? yes Describe the issue. Include screenshots if you can Almost everything in game is white. The neighbourhood screen has 2 white squares and the lot is almost completely white except some sims and all the furniture. What are the steps to reproduce the issue? set the resolution to anything over non native Please attach the generated log file SimsWidescreenPatcher.log Sims1WidescreenPatcher.log

@BoneCrusher03

Thanks for opening this issue. So this white screen happens on any resolution you choose, not just 3440x1440? Can you post a screen shot of it? It might help me identify the issue. I can successfully run 3440x1440 with no graphical glitches: 3440x1440

Try downloading this zip, extract it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\UIGraphics, and overwrite everything.

Does that solve your issue?

BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

Sims1 2 Yea forgot to attach a picture. Ill try the UIgraphics

BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

Still the same issue after trying UIGraphics. It happens on any resolution that is non native.

FaithBeam commented 3 years ago

Try this Sims exe. Backup your existing exe and overwrite it with this one:

Didnt work, still the same error unfortunatly.

What does your Sims shortcut look like? I'm interested in the Shortcut tab and Compatibility tab. image image

Also, try this: https://simsvip.com/2018/02/09/play-sims-1-windows-10-widescreen-fix/ It's some else's fix. I'm wondering if the issues you're seeing is unrelated to a specific patch and more to do with your setup/hardware. Make sure to uninstall my patch before trying this.

Desktop_210516_1708 Desktop_210516_1709 Ill try the fix

FaithBeam commented 3 years ago

Have you tried setting the Compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 2?

BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

That didnt change anything

BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

I tried the fix you linked but that didnt work either. Im using a Radeon RX 5700 XT and a Ryzen 7 3700X since you were asking about my hardware

FaithBeam commented 3 years ago

Hmm I'm not sure what the issue is or how to approach it. We know that:

Try:

BoneCrusher03 commented 3 years ago

I tried that over the last couple of days but none of that worked either

FaithBeam commented 3 years ago

Did you say you had a physical copy of the Complete Collection? I wonder if there is some incompatibility between the physical copy you have and the nocd/crack downloaded like version differences. If you still have the original Sims.exe, can you check the version of it by right clicking it > properties > details. The version I've seen on nocds/cracks is 1.9.1 or something like that.

Try installing this DirectDraw wrapper called DDrawCompat: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/tag/v0.3.1

It fixes graphical and performance issues, making The Sims 1 run at a full 60 FPS.
