No indication of how to cancel show command calendar view in UG #6

In the UG, there is no proper indication of how to exit the show calendar function. The only indication of how to close this view is in the form of a warning as shown below.

Readers who do not pay attention to this pay may take this as a warning and will not know how to close the calendar view.

Team's Response

The information found in warning boxes are for users to take note before using the command. The warning box is thus a proper indication of how to exit the show calendar function (in fact, more important to take note).

We believe that the phrasing for exiting the calendar is explicit.

Using any other commands will hide the calendar view.

 Issue response

Reason for disagreement: While it is true that users should read the warnings shown in the warning box, the main issue with showing this considerably important aspect of the function in the warning box is that users will treat this feature as a bug or flaw that should be avoided. Since you are warning the user of it, they may actively choose not to close the calendar in such a way. If so, the user will not be able to find another way to close the calendar. Instead, it would be better to frame this as part of the feature - that the main way to close the calendar is to enter another input - instead of treating it as a warning or unintended interaction. That way, users will actively note that that is the correct way to close the calendar and will treat it as such instead of an unintended interaction to be avoided.
