Hi together,

the extension is not working with the current outlook.com version. When i click on a mailto link outlook.com is opened in a new tab with the standard view afte logging in and not with a new, prefilled email.

I tried the custom service URL:

https://outlook.live.com/?path=/mail/action/compose&to=%7Bto%7D&subject=%7Bsubject%7D&body=%7Bbody%7D

but that lead to the exact same behavour.

I just had noticed that there wasa copy & paste error with the URL...it must be:

https://outlook.live.com/?path=/mail/action/compose&to={to}&subject={subject}&body={body}

With this URL outlook.com opens a new mail, but Outlook.com and the new mail are in the old outlook.com design.

Hi rohabu,

I am having the exact same issue you describe in regards to this extension not working at all with the new outlook.com design.

If you take a look at the reviews on the chrome webstore, You will notice this outlook.com issue has been going on for a long time and there is still NO indication that the developer of this extension is going to get this fixed any time soon.

This chrome extension used to function tolerably well despite another unresolved issue.

The other annoying issue was tha this extension is always adding the mailto prefix to new messages and that always had to be removed manually before a email message could be sent.

That issue has been going on for an extremely long period of time and has NEVER EVER BEEN FIXED.

I am at a loss right now because I don't know of any other technique or extension that will change the default chrome handling of mailto links.

If the developer of this extension simply no longer wishes to support its development, I strongly feel they should make a very public statement and advise all users that this extension is abandoned.
