Multiple mailbox tabs after clicking a few mailto links

When I click on a mailto link the mailto-extension opens a new mailbox tab, and 
new popup compose window, which is fine. The next time I click on a mailto link 
yet another new tab opens with the mailbox although there is one already 
present in the browser. Is it possible to have the extension use the already 
present mailbox-tab? and just open a new compose popup each time a mailto links 
is clicked? 

What version are you using? (go to chrome://extension/ (Chrome) or options
-> extensions (Safari) to find this out).

What browser do you use? And what version?
Google Chrome Version 23.0.1271.95 m

What email service do you use? (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail)
GoDaddy Webmail 

Any other information I might need to know?
