This was unpacked from another file, and the file contents are different from another one the game. Also uses and can be extracted using another tool.

I was wondering if you had any additional files that I could look at? I've got a few ideas but would like to have some more files to play with.

I also think this might be some type of archive file rather than an image

I'm aware there's some palettes inside that they're 400 bytes in length and other CG's this game uses also contains palettes and store the sprites but as I've said you can extect those with another tool.

I believe these will be the same.

The palette format is RGBA8888

Do you have any additional sample files that I can take a look at?

When you refer to

Also uses and can be extracted using another tool.

do you have an example of a file extracted using the other tool? Do they come out to be extracted as the same thing?

I'm aware there's some palettes inside that they're 400 bytes in length...

This was great information as well, thank you!

AyanamiRei1 commented 2 years ago

Yeah when extracted they look like this 000_000 bmp_ID_0

My bad it seems like the sprites are actually in this archive but they look like this when extracted but they're supposed to be like the picture above 000_000_Red

Also to add the palettes start at 0x14

What tool have you been using to view these files?

AyanamiRei1 commented 2 years ago

To extract the newest file I just used this BMS script and I just used SwitchToolbox to open the BNTX's of course the extracted images don't have a palette on them they look like the image below.

image

so I just extracted the palette from the CG and applied the palette after indexing the image as grayscale in PS
