That's all about that those joseki tricks every beginner gets bogged down into.

Never mind the inaccuracies within the analogy to pyrrhic victories...

Well I think we should actually mind the analogy inaccuracy. I don't think the joseki I'm gonna discuss really is related to pyrrhic victories actually — which happen when we overinvest to obtain a short-term victory. I think I should just focus on doing a small article on that classic, canonical trick play.
