Plugin Options freezes on Authorization #7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Fresh install of plugin
2. Set options for jira installation
3. Click Save Options

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Prior to this installation the options were saved now the authorization pop up 
screen stays up. Options are never saved.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Jira Chrome Extensions 1.5.3, JIRA (v4.3.1#615-r147022) 

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried this on 2 other windows machines.

I found out the option "JIRA Server URL" is not honoring URL's entered in 
manually, only ones in the drop down. It appears that it tries to connect to 
the URL the was selected.

I tested this by modifying options.html with my own host name and reloaded the 
extension.

This is happening to me too, Plug-in Version: 1.7.6
Chrome version 14.0.835.202 m

Seems to be the same as #17.
I can connect to one of our Jira installations but not to the other. Both are 
on Jira 4.4. Editing options.html doesn't change anything.

Plugin version: 1.7.6 Chrome Version 15.0.874.6

I found out my problem: Remote API was set to off in our Jira installation 
(Administration --> System --> General Configuration --> Remote API)
