Extension generates too much traffic #9

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Add some jira filters with many issues(say 200 or 1000) to favorites
2.Measure incoming and outgoing traffic
3.Panic

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to see delayed loading of issues in filters.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
win7x64

Please provide any additional information below.
If delayed loading (or on demand, don't know the right term ) is not possible,
then it would be good to have some way of selecting filters to display in
extension other then adding the filter to favorites.

At this moment taking those filters out of the favorites is not an option since
there is a very good jira gadget "Favorite Filters"

I planned to improove server communications in future to reduce trafic. At this
point you can disable unused filters on the "options page" - "filter
configuration";

Sorry, i can't find it.
When i right-click jira button and select "Options", i see configuration page
with only 1 tab - "Main settings", and there is no "filter configuration".

When i left-click jira button and select "Options" i get there too.
When i left-click jira button and select "Manage filters" i get to jira page
"Manage filters" where i can remove filters from my favourites. Which, as i
mentioned earlier, is not my desired behavior.

Am I doing something wrong?

Does it works now? I used dev channel of Chrome and have no any problem with
it, but yesterday when switch to stable I found a lot of some
misunderstandings. Hope 1.5.11 help you with your issue

there are new feature in 1.6 release - you can specify interval for update
separately for each filter ( or disable autoupdate at all)
