It is essentially an effort to reboot the project to being better supported and to have a regular release cadence. See the [v4 milestone](https://togithub.com/shouldly/shouldly/issues?q=is%3Aclosed+milestone%3A4.0.0) for the list of changes. Although note that some changes have been done without associated issues or PR. Where possible `ObsoleteAttribute`s have been applied with directions on using the new API.
